Can Auli: A peaceful, relaxing oasis

Back in September 2020 we managed to squeeze in a very welcomed trip to Pollenca. We needed to come and meet our project managers, LF91 as they were hoping to start our house renovations and lets be honest some Vit D before the grey skies of England set in was also high on the agenda (plus little did we know another lockdown was around the corner!).

Can Auli has 21 rooms housed in a magnificent reformed 17th century house just a few minutes walk from the main square in. Right from the moment we stepped into the light filled reception we were warmly greeted by the concierge team who made it feel like a home from home in what were still quite dark times for us all. It was still very strange travelling at this time as face masks were in full swing, but that didn’t stop the Can Auli team from communicating their delight in welcoming you to their hotel.

The attention to detail that went into the transformation from local mansion to a hotel is clearly there to be seen with chic furnishings and fittings, beautiful local stone floors and archways combined with modern artwork including a stunning art installation from local artist Jaume Roig.

Everything screams five stars but in a stylish elegant way. There is an outstanding appreciation for the original character of the building and its features effortlessly blend with the modern design touches. We were very lucky and were offered the suite during our stay. With its separate lounge and fantastic terrace it was a lovely serene room with a natural style achieved through a warm colour palette. As we sat enjoying our evening cava looking out over the rooftops towards the iconic Calvari stone steps, we started to allow ourselves to smile and feel very excited about the journey we were about to embark on.

Looking back we had a very special time at Can Auli and are a bit sad that we enjoy it in the same way now that we live down the road! Even if you are not staying its courtyard with pool is a lovely spot for a pre dinner drink…enjoy.
